Churches in the Latin Quarter

Chris and I learned a good lesson on Saturday. We stopped to get a gyro in the Latin Quarter for lunch. The man behind the counter told us it would be 13 euros, when we knew the cost was 9. When Chris pointed that out to him he very flippantly acted like he had made the mistake on accident. But we got the feeling that he does it all the time. So, from now on we'll keep our eyes open! Here's Chris in the Latin Quarter:

First we stopped at St. Severin which ended up being one of our favorites. It had beautiful side chapels and really unusual stained glass windows.

I love this one- how the colors in the window bring out the colors in the painting.

Across the street is the Eglise Saint Julien le Pauvre, a Melkite Greek Catholic Church.

The iconostasis reminded my of inside my brother-in-law Jimmy's Greek Orthodox church. You can click on the picture to see it in greater detail.
